“What is human life worth without impacting the lives of others?”  This is a constant question in my mind as I continue on this journey of a change agent.  My journey to the diaspora was propelled by devastating experiences with childbirths. While in the diaspora, I encountered life and death experiences and obtained education and skill training to work with individuals, families, groups, and communities to improve their coping skills in the society and mental health functioning.

The family history of losses due to diabetes and cancer were added motivators to develop this program.  My life experiences birthed the mission and vision of Anike-Titilayo Hope Center (A-THC).  While A-THC is not designed for the treatment of individuals with health conditions, it can provide preventative health promotional education in physical and mental health, link individuals to community resources, and empower those who have lost hope.

My education and work experience as a Clinical Social Worker/Mental Health Counselor, and an Educator with Ph.D. in Health Services/Community Health played major role in the actualization of this dream.  In addition, many years of practice in various settings and with interdisciplinary teams enhanced my knowledge in working with individuals, groups, families, communities, and organizations in diverse settings. This background provided me the tools needed to bring together everyone that can contribute their resources, skills, and talents to the improvement of lives of the vulnerable in our society.

A-THC program was in part, inspired by the losses of my dear late families, Madam J.O. Anike Ogunjimi, Chief Mathew Femi Ogunjimi, and Mrs. Mary Abosede Abioye who had all impacted my life positively.

To the Most High be all the Glory for making me His tool.
